Connect your sequencer

A sequencer is the tool that actually sends your cold emails. You give it your list and your emails, and it sends them on a schedule, spreads the sending across all your inboxes and stops following up when someone replies. Maildeck provides the inboxes; you sign up for the sequencer yourself, and our team connects your inboxes to it.

  • Sends your campaigns. A first email and the follow-ups, on the days and times you set.
  • Rotates your inboxes. It shares the sending across all your inboxes, so each one stays within its safe daily limit.
  • Handles replies. It usually stops the sequence for anyone who answers and collects the replies in one place.
  • Runs warmup. Sequencers can keep warming your inboxes while your campaigns run.

You don’t need to add inboxes to it one by one. That’s the part we do.

Any of them works with Maildeck. If you don’t have one yet, sign up with the vendor before you start Quick Start, and pick the one whose features and pricing suit you. We don’t sell sequencer subscriptions.

You connect your sequencer on the Sequencer screen of Quick Start.

  1. Pick your sequencer from the list. If you don’t have an account, there’s a link to sign up.

  2. Enter your sequencer login. Quick Start asks for the email and password you use to sign in to the sequencer. If your sequencer gives you an API key (a code that lets other tools connect to your account), you can add it too; it’s optional.

  3. Check the sending settings. The same window shows warmup and sending settings: reply rate, warmup daily limit, email daily limit and the gap between sends. Click Recommended Settings to fill them in for your inbox type, or adjust them yourself.

  4. Save and continue. Your sequencer shows as connected, and the details travel with your order to our team.

Once your order is set up, your inboxes appear in your sequencer account as connected sending accounts, ready to add to campaigns. You don’t add or configure them yourself. While setup is running, your Maildeck dashboard shows the progress (see After you order).

If your order shows as done but you can’t see the inboxes in your sequencer, message the team through the chat bubble or your private Slack channel. See Getting help.

  • Keep warmup running alongside your campaigns. It keeps your inboxes’ reputation healthy.
  • Stay inside the safe limits. Set each inbox’s daily limit to the numbers in Sending limits, not higher.
  • Use the same sequencer account for later orders if you want new inboxes added next to your existing ones. If you want inboxes moved to a different account, ask the team.
  • Watch both places. Your Maildeck dashboard shows your inboxes and domains; your sequencer shows how your campaigns perform.
  • Outlook needs different settings. Turn off open tracking and links for campaigns sent from Outlook inboxes. See Writing for Outlook.
