# Your first order

> A screen-by-screen walk through Quick Start, and what to have ready before you start.

You place every order in **Quick Start**, in the app's sidebar. It walks you through five screens (Products, Domains,
Sequencer, Configure and Review) and then sends you to a secure card checkout. Have the items below ready and it
usually takes a few minutes.

## Before you start: what to have ready

| You need | Why | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| **Domains, already bought** | Your inboxes are created on them. | Buy them at a registrar such as Porkbun, Namecheap or GoDaddy (others work too). Use brand variations, never your main company domain. See [Domains](https://docs.maildeck.co/domains-dns/domains/). |
| **Your registrar login** | Our team logs in to set up the DNS records for you. | The email or username and password you use at the registrar. An API key is optional if your registrar gives you one. |
| **A sequencer account** | Your inboxes get connected to it. | Sign up with the vendor yourself (Instantly, Plusvibe, Smartlead, EmailBison or Manyreach). See [Connect your sequencer](https://docs.maildeck.co/getting-started/connect-your-sequencer/). |
| **Sender names** | Every inbox needs a person's name, the one people see when your email arrives. | Quick Start can generate them for you, or you can paste your own list. |
| **Business details** | For your invoices. | Company name, billing email, contact name, phone and address. EU businesses also need a VAT number. |

> **Tip: How many domains?**
> Each plan needs a set number of domains. For example, the Diversified Starter needs 5 and the Growth needs 36.

## Quick Start, screen by screen

1. **Products.** Choose what you're buying. The tabs are **Diversified Stack** (marked Recommended), **Microsoft 365
   Outlook**, **Google Workspace** and **SMTP**. Pick a bundle, or a product and a quantity. Not sure which? Read
   [Choosing a plan](https://docs.maildeck.co/plans/choosing-a-plan/) or ask Maya in the app.

2. **Domains.** Click **Connect Your Domains**, choose your registrar, and enter the domains you bought plus your
   registrar login. Then name your inboxes with **Mailbox Magic**: pick random male names, random female names, a mix,
   or paste your own list. It fills in every inbox at once (for example `sarah.jones@yourdomain.com`), and you can
   check and change any name before you continue.

3. **Sequencer.** Pick your sequencer from the list and connect it with the details it asks for. The window also shows
   warmup and daily sending settings, with a **Recommended Settings** button that fills them in for you.

4. **Configure.** Enter your contact and business details: billing email, company name, your name, phone number and
   address. If your business is in the EU, enter your VAT number. It is checked automatically and used for
   reverse-charge VAT invoicing.

5. **Review.** Check the order summary. If anything is missing, Quick Start highlights the step to fix. Accept the terms,
   then continue.

6. **Pay.** You're sent to our secure payment page to pay by card. Once payment goes through, your order reaches our
   team.

> **Caution: Turn off two-factor login at your registrar for now**
> Quick Start asks you to temporarily disable 2FA (two-factor login) on your registrar account, so our team can get in
> and set up your DNS. You can switch it back on once setup is complete.

> **Tip: Save time next order**
> You can save your contact details on the Configure screen, and your registrar and sequencer logins on the Review
> screen, so they're filled in next time.

## Common questions

**Can I use my main company domain?** No. Always send from separate brand variations, so your main domain and
everyday email stay safe. See [Domains](https://docs.maildeck.co/domains-dns/domains/).

**I don't have domains and can't wait for warmup.** Our team sometimes has pre-warmed Outlook tenants on domains we
already own and have been sending from. Availability varies, so [ask the team](https://docs.maildeck.co/support/getting-help/).

**What does checkout charge?** Your plan's monthly price, by card. See [Pricing](https://docs.maildeck.co/plans/pricing/) and
